Description
This was the scene Thursday night in Montgomery's oldest black church, Old Elam Baptist, as an estimated 350 persons sang songs and cheered speakers calling for the ouster of Mayor Emory Folmar and the city's police chief and for the boycotting of white-owned businesses. The rally was in connection with a February 27 incident in which two plainclothes city policemen entered a house in a black neighborhood to question a man they had begun questioning outside the house.
