1981 Press Photo Skycrane Helicopter near Bluff Park gets water bucket for Fire

Just before the sun dipped below the trees Thursday near Bluff Park, a "Skycrane" helicopter made one more run to pour its giant bucket of water on the forest fire which has been scorching the slopes of Shades Mountain for two days. The pilot of the Alabama Air National Guard helicopter can refill the bucket from a lake of stream while still airborne. Fires Forest
