1980 Press Photo Municipal airport's terminal lights up at night, Birmingham

What can you look at while you're sitting in a parked car, waiting for someone at Birmingham Municipal Airport? Plenty. The glowing lights and the graceful curve of the airport terminal, bouncing off the hood of a car, touched the creative 'eye' of News staff photographer Edouard Bruchac. He saw these things outside the terminal one night recently and captured them with his camera to show that seeing can be a kind of art, even when you're not looking for anything special.
