Water from heavy afernoon thunderstorms collected on the roof of the Birmingham Municipal Airport terminal Sunday, causing ceiling tiles to fall creating this mess. Airport officials said the roof over the shorter of two concourses began to leak about 1 p.m., and by 5 p.m. more than an inch of water and debris covered about half the concourse area. Damage estimates were not available this morning. Officials say plans call for the airport roof to be replaced. Roof cave-in airport. Birmingham, Alabama. Airports: Municipal
