Carter, a native of Weogufka and a graduate of Auburn University, has been elected president and chief executive officer of ConAgra international diversified producer of basic food products with headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. carter joined ConAgra in 1941 and has served as executive vice president since 1965. ConAgra has operations in Decatur, Greensboro, Enterprise, Athens, Birmingham, Hartselle, Luverne, Molton and Boaz.
