1982 Press Photo Westside Apartment Building Fire with Victims in Birmingham

Six families were left homeless this morning following two fires that destroyed a west side apartment building, firefighters said. The first fire at 1549-B Arthur Shores Drive was apparently started by burglars trying to cover their tracks, said Eugene Rouveyrol, battalion chief for Birmingham's west side.
