1977 Press Photo Alabama Tenor Gene Bullard to be in Meadowbrook Festival

Birmingham, Alabama - Birmingham tenor Gene Bullard will have a solo part in the opening concert of the Meadowbrook Festival June 23, when Michael Tilson Thomas directs the Detroit Symphony in Mahler's Eighth Symphony. Also on Bullard's summer schedule are Cole Porter concerts with the Detroit Symphony, Rogers and Hammerstein selections with the St. Louis Symphony, and "Most Happy Fella" and "Don Giovanni" with the Cincinnati Summer Opera.
