1978 Press Photo Explosion at Loveman's Village Apartments in Birmingham

A crack in a 2 1/4 inch main natural gas line apparently caused an explosion that ripped through a two story brick apartment building in Loveman's Village Friday, slightly injuring an expectant mother, said Birmingham fire officials.
