Elected to board of directors of Southdown Sugars Inc. was A. Quistgaard Peterson (above) of New Orleans. He was named at a meeting of the board Wednesday, announced Wallace C. Kemper, the firm's president. Peterson is president of Wesson Oil & Snowdrift Company, Inc., and its subsidiaries, and is a director of the National Bank of Commerce of New Orleans, the Texas and Pacific railway and other firms.
