1946 Press Photo USS Ambassador's Wife Lydia Novikov Talks to Elaine Villon

Mrs. Lydia Novikov, wife of the USSR ambassador, discusses problem with clerk Elaine Villon (left) before leaving on a Paris flight 8/5. Booked for flight last Saturday, her seat was given someone else when she was late. A later flight had to return when plane developed engine trouble. Sunday (8/4) she made five trips to airport but was unable to get seat. Finally left yesterday (8/5) to join husband in Paris. Mrs. Novikov says such things don't happen in Russia!!
