Korean War, United States Homecoming: When daddy, a former Prisoner of War (POW), came home from Korea, Carolyn Joe Bernarz, 3, and her mother met him in San Francisco. Mother got the first real hug, but Carolyn got in on the welcome, too. Lieutenant Joseph Bernarz of Gilbertville, Minnesota, arrived Wednesday aboard the troopship General William M. Black.
