Description
disasters, fires, Wisconsin. Fire officials in the Town of Merton suspect that a fire in one of two automobiles parked in a garage may have spread to other sections of a house in the Lakeland Manor subdivision Wednesday night, destroying the garage and causing damage to the home's attic. Chief Jeff Becker of the Stone Bank Fire Department said the call for held came at 8:26 p.m. Wednesday. By the time firefighters arrived, the entire garage was in flames, Becker said. Cause of the blaze was unknown. The ranch home at N53-W33430 Terrace Dr. is owned by Don Hoffman. No one was home at the time of the blaze, officials said. Neighbors alerted the fire department after the garage began to burn. No damage estimate was available.
