1965 Press Photo Imam Mohammed El Badr and Prince Mohammed Ibn-Ibrahim

Yemen's ousted Imam Mohammed El-Badr (center) is shown with Royalist tribesmen outside his cave headquarters here. At the right is the Imam's cousin, Prince Mohammed Ibn-Ibrhim in a black turban. El-badr succeeded his father to the throne in September 1962. bit was ousted by an army coup a week later. He fled to the mountains and caves of northern Yemne, rallied loyal tribesmen and has been fighting to regain his throne ever since.
