Description
Tennis with gloves on isn't an ordinary procedure, but it was a necessity when city high schools opened league play with the temperatures near freezing. Dick Scherer of Pulaski made sure that his hands were warm before he focused his complete attention on the ball. Scherer split even in his first two matches.
