Airman 1.C. Patrick J. Nugent, 25, son-in-law of President Lyndon B. Johnson, is shown being awarded the air medal by Col. John W. Pauly of Albany, N.Y., in Phen Rang, South Vietnam, today. Nugent has flown more than 400 combat sorties while logging 536 combat hours in C-123 cargo planes.
