A Police Constable And Three Men Accused Of An $18,000 Bank Raid: 39-year-old Metropolitan Police Constable George Alberta Askew was charged with three other men at Waltham Cross Essex, yesterday of breaking into Chingford's National Provincial Bank and Stealing cash and Jewellery worth $18,103. The men and two women - a mother and daughter - were also accused of receiving part of the stolen money. All the accused were remanded for a week, the men in custody and the women on ball.
