New York - Dr. Francis V. Madigan, Jr., associate professor of English at Siena College and Judson Rand, associate professor of music, review the original score of "O Beautiful! My Country!" commissioned by the Siena Alumni Association for the Bicentennial by composer Daniel Pinkham. The text of the contata was selected by Dr. Madigan while Rand is director of the Siena Schola Cantorum and founder and director of the Capital Hill Choral Society. The combined groups will perform the contata on Wednesday, May 5 as part of Siena's Festival of American Arts.
