Description

Chairman Leonard Hall of the Republican National Committee tells newsmen upon leaving the White House today that "I can't go along" with Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis) when he attacks persons "fighting communism just as conscientiously as he is." Hall said he had discussed the "so-called McCarthy situation" with President Eisenhower, but did not give Eisenhower's reaction.
