Description

Republican Gov. Thomas E. Dewey of New York works here this afternoon on his speech for his statewide TV and radio broadcasts tonight. The Governor's office announced he would reveal his political plans in the broadcasts. A source close to the Governor says Dewey's announcement will be that he will not run for a fourth term as governor. Dewey, twice defeated in bids for the presidency, was elected governor in 1942 and re-elected in 1946 and 1950.
