Thousands Participate in Unity Service
Clergy and laity from many faiths sat near central podium in Coliseum and more than 4,000 Spokane area residents participated during second annual Christian Unity Service. The event was held in observance here of World Religion Day. Faiths represented included Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Episcopal, Baptist, United Presbyterian, Disciples of Christ, Lutheran, United Church of Christ and Methodist. The Catholic Diocese of Spokane and the Greater Spokane Council of Churches sponsored the community service.
