Whitey Herzog, named interim manager of the California Angels today after manager Bobby Winkles was fired, checks over lineup for tonight's game with the Texas Rangers in the clubhouse at Anaheim Stadium. Herzog was fired last year as manager of the Rangers and hired by the Angeles as a coach. The Angles are negotiating with former Oakland manager Dick Williams as permanent Angles skipper.
