Howard Barlow conductor of the CBS Symphony inaugurates his 5th season of summer concert Sunday afternoons over nationwide Columbia network on May 12. An All American program of works by Deems Taylor, Bernard Herrmann, Edward MacDowell and William Schuman marks the opening of the series This year Barlow who has substantially enlarged his reputation thru his Columbia Records and direction of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will direct an augumented orchestra in extended broadcasting time of one hour and a half. He ws recently voted Outstanding American conductor of the 1939-1940 season in presentation of American music by national Association for American Composers and Conductors
