Lt. Leslie MacMitchell, Americans top ranking Miler at the time of his induction into the navy 38 Months ago, receives his honorable discharge papers Sept. 27 from Lt. (JG) Gladys Franklin Marcus, New York City, at the Naval Officers Procurement Bureau, New York. MacMitchell said she would return to competition in the cross country this fall.
