A dramatic close up of John L. Lewis, pictured in his chair on the speaker's platform here, following the speech in which he gave up the presidency of the Congress of Industrial Organizations. News stories said that Mr. Lewis wept upon hearing and seeing the 44 minute ovation accorded him by the delegates to the CIO Convention.
