Colonel A.A. Anderson, wealthy artist, sportsman and aviation enthusiast, who seeks to encourage flying among the youth of the country by offering a $1000 trophy for solo airplane flights from Los Angeles to New York, by aviators not more than 19 years old. The trophy is to be competed for annually by America's Junior Aviators, the flights to be sponsored by the American Society for the promotion of aviation.
