NY Donald F Stewart editor of the Moose Magazine who was one of the early witnesses to appear at trial of US Senator James J Davis of Penn former secretary of Labor who is charged with violation of the National Lottery laws 12 letters said to have been addressed to the editor by Senator Davis were introduced by government at the trial today in attempt to show that the latter was aware of the 1930 Mooseheart Charity Ball alleged to have been conducted thru a lottery scheme It is charged that Senator Davis profited personally to extent of $172,000 from the 1930 and 1931 charity balls
