Denies Admiral Kimmel Was Warned In Advance.
Washington D.C...Admiral W.W. Smith, appearing today before the Pearl Harbor Investigating Committee, emphatically denied that Admiral Husband E. Kimmel was warned nine months in advanced by an intelligence officer, that Japan would launch a Sunday air attack on Pearl Harbor. Admiral Smith Kimmel's Chief of staff in 1941, appeared before the committee during afternoon session.
