Description
Newsmen cluster around the front door of the Russian Embassy, peering into a five by six inch window, waiting for some Soviet spokesman to comment on the news announcement of the death of Joseph Stalin, Russian prime minister. Reporters said four or five men were pacing around inside nervously and occasionally someone from the inside would peer out as if expecting another caller. There was however no official statement for several hours after the news that Stalin was dead.
