1940 Press Photo Ambassador William Bullitt arrives at Baltimore on a clipper

Description
Ambassador William Bullitt, our envoy to France arrives at Baltimore, on completion of Trans Atlantic flight in the Pan American clipper plane. Carmel Osfie, secretary of the American Embassy in Paris, accompanies the Ambassador. The clipper plane on which they made their flying trip was sear searched by the British at Bermuda and half of its mail cargo confiscated.
