George Hope (right), 90 years old retired Transit Company motorman, told police today the he prayed all night for guidance, then shot and killed his sick wife, also 90. Hope is shown being escorted by unidentified detective in police headquarters where he told questioners he shot his wife, Ada, once behind the ear while she slept because he could no longer stand to see her suffer.
