At one fell swope, David Lamson today received two hard, crushing blows. At one instant he heard Judge Robert Syer in San Jose rule that he must he must be tried again for the death of his wife, Allene and that he could not be freed on bail, a few seconds before his sister, Dr. Margaret Lamson, informed him that their mother, aged Mrs. Jennie Lamson, had been seriously injured in an automobile accident, the machine in which she was riding was being driven by her son in law, Willis Thoits.
