Maj Gen William M. Hoge has been named Commander of the Ninth Corps in Korea, Lt Gen Matthew B Ridgway, Eighth Army Commander, was announced. He succeeds Maj Gen Bryant E. Moore, who died of a heart attack after a helicopter crash in the Han River.
