Henry W. "Brick" Meers, managing director of the Chicago office of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets Group, was past chairman and president of Children's Memorial Hospital, past chairman and president of Chicago Public Television-Channel 11 and WFMT and the 1967 general chairman of the Metropolitan Crusade of Mercy.He also was former chairman of the Chicago Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and, in 1970, chairman of the Committee for Modern Courts, a citizens group that advocated merit selection of judges.
