1970 Press Photo Pollution Patrol Check Tokyo

Member of Tokyo's special pollution patrol squads of traffic policemen uses a measuring device to check exhaust gas from car during a surprise check along one of Tokyo's main highways. Police have launched an all-out "carbon monoxide reguation operation" on five main highways around Tokyo recently to crack down on cars which they consider to be adding excessively to Tokyo's air pollution problem.
