LUCIUS CLAY, MILITARY CHIEF OF EUROPEAN COMMAND WITH CHARLES LAFOLLETTE, CONGRESSMEN FROM INDIANA AND FREDERICK DEVEREUX.Charles Marion La Follette (February 27, 1898, New Albany, Indiana - June 27, 1974, Trenton, New Jersey) was an American lawyer and politician from Indiana. His great-grandfather was William Heilman, who was in the United States House of Representatives from Indiana. He served as a Republican in the United States House of Representatives during the 1940s and took part in the post-World War II Nuremberg Trials.After serving in the U.S. Army during the First World War, La Follette studied law at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, and was admitted to the bar in 1925.
