1971 Press Photo Pierre-Auguste Renoir French Painter

This is a copy of Renoir's paintmaking "Le Pecheur a la Ligne" which was sold at auction in London to the London firm of John Mitchell and Sons for $1,159.200. The French master painted it in 1874 and sold it a year later for $35. The painting shows a man fishing and woman reading nearby.
