John Savage actor in "Eric"John Savage (born John Youngs; August 25, 1949) is an American film actor, producer, production manager, and composer. His first major film role was as Steven in the 1978 film, The Deer Hunter, the story of a group of Russian American steel workers during the Vietnam War. He also had a lead role in 1979's The Onion Field, the true story of policeman Karl Hettinger's personal struggle after witnessing the murder of his partner.
