Kingsley Day as Mason Hamlin "Summer Stock Murder"Kingsley is active in the Chicago area as a writer, composer, musical director, and actor. With Philip LaZebnik he has written the musical Summer Stock Murder, which since its initial award-winning run in Chicago has been produced across the country as part of the Rodgers & Hammerstein catalog. His critically acclaimed new score for Gilbert & Sullivan’s Thespis (for which most of Sullivan’s music is lost) was recently heard in a production by the Savoyaires and issued on CD. Day served as musical director for the Chicago premiere of Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh! at the Apollo Theater as well as for National Jewish Theater’s original revues of songs by Kurt Weill, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and Frank Loesser.
