Description
Photo measures 9 x 11 inches. Photo is dated 10/1970.

Mounds of salt piled on bank of the Chicago River are reminders that winter will soon be here. The salt is used to melt ice and snow on city streets. At rear, between the "peaks" are the John Hancock Center (L) and the Time Life Building.
