New manager of the Sears Roebuck and Co. Store is John Jack Berry. He took over the reins Thursday at a ceremony in the store at which David Scanlon Northwest zone manager resided. Berry succeeds Don Anderson who will retire Jan. 31. The new manager came here from San Mateo Claif. Berry was born, reared, and first employed by Sears here. He attended Rose City Park Elementary School and Grant High School. He started in the toy department of the store here. He managed the San Mateo Store the last 30 months.
