The upper-stage Centaur, identified by its white insulation, is first U.S. space vehicle to use liquid hydrogen for fuel. Now in experimental research and development phase, Centaur is scheduled to carry unmanned spacecraft to the moon and planets when it becomes operational. Cape Canaveral, Florida
