Hawaiian Boy Scout Vernon Kalani Kaahanui, 16, poses with a new 50-star American flag at Philadelphia's famed Liberty Bell in Independence Hall today with pretty 16-year-old Girl Scout Martha Ann Hansen as prelude to July 4 ceremonies in which the two will participate. The new flag, carrying Hawaii's star, will become official on Independence Day.
