1987 Press Photo Snowrene Sexton and neighborhood kids with home grown pumpkin

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
When Snowrene Sexton, of 3347 N. 3rd Street, planted her pumpkin seeds last spring, curious neighborhood children stopped by to ask what sort of seeds she was planting. Rather than answer directly, she invited the children back to watch the plants grow and change. On Friday, the children came back to see a fully grown pumpkin. Sitting with Sexton (upper right), were pupils from Victor Berger School (from bottom left) : Netisha Daniels, Lateasha Ellison, Mario Rolack, James Allen, Tony Moore, Rudi Webb and (bottom right) Shalissa James. (Halloween)
