Description
A group of visitors from Japan watch as Joe Perry, a stamper operator at Snap-on Tools' Milwaukee plant, feeds sockets into a stamping machine. The visitors, part of a delegation nearly 200 Japanese Snap-On Tools dealers, managers and industrial sales representatives, toured the plant Monday to acquaint themselves with how the Kenosha-based company designs and manufactures its products. In an unrelated development Monday, the firm made a tender offer, valued at about $100 million, to purchase Sun Electric Corp., an Illinois-based producer of vehicle diagnostic equipment.
