1969 Press Photo Gary Lensert, of the Wis Conservation Dept., nets Coho Salmon

Description
Gary Lensert, an employee of the Wisconsin Conservation Department, netted Coho salmon from hauling tanks before planting them in Stormy Lake west of Conover (Vilas County) recently. About 5,000 fish were placed in the 522 acre lake. This was the department's first major attempt at planting coho salmon in an inland lake. The lake is about 63 feet deep.
