It's the Brain-Child od Bombay-born hotelier, Mr. Gul Shahani, who plans to include the bath in his luxury penthouse suite of his 100 bed roomed Middleton Lodge Hotel, Banbury. The suite will ebetually include a gold tables and chess set as well as countless other minor splendours. At the moment the £50,000 bath is being assembled at the 'House of Lawrian' gold & Silver smiths, at Leigh-on-sea, by 12 craftsmen. 600 gold tiles,, in 4 colour, god, white, green and red, from a radiating design, with a mosaic - jigsaw effect. The bath will weigh three-quarters of a ton. "It will be the only bath of it's type in the world" say's Mr. Shahani. "I have always been looking for something unque" he say's Mr Shahani feels certain that the luxurious appartment will be in great demand, being reminiscent of 'grander day's with it's copper roof and roof garden. As it is so unique Mr. Shahani feels that his 9+ carat Solid gold bath ought to unagurated by Hen Majesty the Queen whn it is installed in Spetember; "I small be writing to her majesty in August, to give her time to make up her mind" he say's. Mr. Christopher Lawrence who is responsible for the design of the bath, pieces together some of the 9 carat solid gold tiles of 4 gold varities, whiote, green, red, and gold, at the House of Lawarian goldsmiths, Leigh-on-sea.
