1953 Press Photo Professor Kleinschmidt before his first stone-photo

Coloured Photos on Stone.: Professor Kleinschmidt, teacher at the highschool for art in Berlin, brought out an invention which took him and his co-operators 5 years and which is quite a senstaion on the field of photo- and publicity tecnhnics. Huge photos on stone! The photos do not react to heat, cold, snow or rain. They are made the following way: eternit-plate sensible to light a size 120 to 150 centimeters are exposed to the light in the dark room as with normal enlarging. The stone photos may be produced in black and white or in colours. It is quite obvious that this process bears quite new possibilities for publicity. Photo shows Professor Kleinschmidt before his first stone-photo which is made in four colours.
