Soldier-scout Pvt Craig Heatley (Wading River, L. I, N. Y) sends live video pictures to his command post with the Army Signal Corps new 8-pound tactical television camera. On his back is a 47-pound transmitter or sending station with built-in power. Pictures up to a mile away are picked up by the sharp-eyed camera. This latest combat aid was developed by the Signal Corps Engineering Laboratories at Fort Monmouth, N.J., and built to Army Signal Corps specifications by the Radio Corporation of America.
