Dr. John Bodkin Adams appears in Court at Eastbourne. Faces sixteen charges: Dr. John Bodkin Adams of Eastbourne appeared in court yesterday. He is prosecuted on sixteen charges, Three of them under the Cremation Act; Three offences of causing articles to be delivered to patients ''by means of a forged instrument'' Four forgeries of National Health Prescriptions, with intent of defraud; One offers off~~~ of obtaining vaccine with a forged instrument; One offence of causing delivery of drugs and medicine by a false pretence and Three offences under the Dangerous Drugs Act - trying to conceal morphine; obstucting a detective and failing to keep a proper register. Dr. Adams was alleged to have had a bedside talk about a will with 88 year old Mr. James Priestley Downs two months before the patient died Dr. Adams was left £1,000 in Mr. Down's Will.
