A Prince and his soldiers; In the quistude of his Bayswater flat the new heir to the throne of Tonga, the 18 year old Prince Taufa await the date of his father's coronation. Since last December the Tongan's have been in mourning for their much loved Queen Salot who endeared herself to the British public at our Queen's coronation. Prince Taufa who is all of 6ft, 1 in. tall likes to amuse himself with his regiments of toy soldiers. It is his father's wish that he is to go to Sandhurst. King George Tupu is a great admirer of the Sandhurst tradition. The prince who has been to school in England for three years shares the craze for jazz with his contemporaries. He himself is a self taught clarinet player, though as he admit with typical Tongan charm that he can only play the national anthem and "Home sweet home' without a fault. Photo shows were taken by royal consent at the Prince's Bayswater flat.
